Kylix

For wine tasting, during banquets, were used containers of various shapes and materials. The choice of container depended from the nature of the wine and the way it was prepared: the wine could be white or red, hot or cold, natural or conditum, that is mixed with honey and pepper.

Kylixs is a drinking vessel in the shape of a wide low cup with feet and horizontal handles. This example in bronze is a reproduction of an attic black varnish pottery kylix.
